Tanya Orr, DDS
The choice of becoming a dentist was not a random one; she is a second generation dentist. From the very beginning, Dr. Orr made a commitment to care for every patient as she would for a member of her own family, so that she would always provide the best care possible. Outside the office she has an energetic daughter and husband that she enjoys spending time with.
Dr. Orr is an alumnus of the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and FTD Programs. Prior to her coming to the United States, Dr. Orr had practiced as a general dentist and prosthodontist for six years in Russia, receiving her original dental education from Samara Medical University College of Dentistry. In addition to her experience as a dentist, she has successfully completed the Dental Hygiene Program at St. Petersburg College, FL and has practiced as a dental hygienist and dental assistant for two years prior to becoming a dentist. Her advanced training in general dentistry includes esthetic and restorative dentistry, removable and fixed prosthodontics, and mastering two major endodontic systems (Tulsa Dental GT File and LightSpeed with Simplifill). She is also trained in the placement and restoration of dental implants, oral surgery procedures, Invisalign and measuring unbalanced bites using Tek Scan computerized bite analysis (The T-Scan II system measures relative occlusal force and timing.)
Dr. Orr’s philosophies on dental care are to make sure that patients are comfortable and understand the treatment needed in order to keep their teeth and body healthy. She strives to get to know each patient and his or her dental goals while providing patients with an enhanced, natural looking smile. With Dr. Orr’s gentle care and easy-going personality, you’re sure to have a comfortable visit.
